| Global Financial Data has built its excellent reputation by providing the most accurate, verified financial data, unavailable from any other single source. Compiled from original sources, the GFDatabase is an online collection of more than 20,000 data series, which span decades or even centuries of information, and cover more than 200 countries. It is accessible anytime, anywhere 24 hours a day.
NEW DATA ADDEDAvailable in Split Adjust or Unadjusted Format
Global Financial Data delivers original end-of-day trading values for individual United States stocks. Daily stock market histories begin as early as 1962 for major US stocks and the data may be downloaded in split adjusted or unadjusted format.
NEW! STOCK MARKET DATA
Global Financial Data proudly announces the addition of individual US stock market histories to the Database. We have added histories on over 11,000 US stocks, and we will be providing data on over 4000 discontinued stocks. Our daily stock market histories begin as early as 1962 for major US stocks. We give you the original trading values for each day, and enable you to adjust for splits and distributions. In addition to the stock market price and volume for each day, we also provide information on the date and amount of dividends, splits and distributions made by each company. By combining our individual stock market histories with our already extensive database on stock market indices, sector indices, interest rates, and other financial and economic data, we have made the Global Financial Database an even more important tool for your financial market analysis.

Switzerland Sector Indices Revised
The Switzerland Stock Exchange has revised their indices to conform to the Industrial Classification Benchmark system. The base for the return indices remains the same while the base for the price indices has been changed from December 31, 1999 = 100 to December 31, 1999 = 1000. Where possible, GFD has used the old SPI sector indices to extend the primary and secondary indices calculated by the SWX further back in order to provide more history for Switzerland's sector indices. Both price and return indices are provided.
London FT Sector Indices Revised
Sector indices for the UK have been revised to conform to the Industrial Classification Benchmark system. The indices have not been rebased, but use the old base which was December 31, 1985 = 1000. GFD provides data for the FTSE All-Share index sectors rather than for the FTSE 350 sector indices. Where possible, we have used historical data from FTSE indices to extend the data further back.
